Wiersma Family Blog

A glimpse into our lives as a family with micro-preemies. Our twins boys (Lovingly referred to as our Miracle Men) were born almost 16 weeks early.

Our journey continues when our son Max was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 3. This is his story....

New picture

I have had a few requests from people for pictures with some sort of scale to show the boys' size.  That over sized bracelet on Max's arm...is my wedding ring.  It slides all the way up his leg too.

  1. Thanks for the perspective Mark (& Kate)! We are so thankful for how "steady" the boys' health has been. We continue to hold you all up in prayer!

  2. All I can say is: WOW!! I can't believe that is your wedding ring! Sure puts Max's size in perspective! Glad to hear that they are doing well....Funny how once you have kids you don't sleep quite so soundly...thanks for all your updates and we are praying for continued strength for you and Kate and also for Max and Wes.

  3. We pray for you and your little ones everyday. We are so happy to hear how well they are doing.

  4. I am so excited to hear how well Max and Wes are doing. Max looks great in this picture. Continuing to pray for all 4 of you!

  5. Oh, so precious! We all pray for the four of you daily, and nightly. What little miracles! Have they gained any weight?

  6. That's great that both are almost back to birth weight. The four of you are in my prayers daily!

  7. Mark and Kate - just lifting you up and smiling with you and crying with you, all in the span of a few minutes- God IS hearing. God IS faithful. You are loved. We will keep praying. Hugging you from here, Joan G
